As you may be aware, Alex Chilton passed away last week on March 17th. Since it was spring break and we didn't have a show, we'd like to do a small tribute to him on our show tomorrow night. Alex was in the groups the Box Tops and Big Star and was a major influence on many of the artists you hear on KRUI. We'll probably play a few songs in his honor toward the end of our 60s and 70s hour (8pm-9pm). During our second hour (9pm-10pm) we're bringing back a perennial favorite of ours... Post Rock. Not sure what we'll be playing yet, so tune in tomorrow to find out.
